Our client is an NIC EIC registered contractor employed by the MoD to operate and maintain Water and Wastewater assets across England. The Operations team is split into five regions, North to South. Sites are a mix of infra and non infra, with a large variety of electrical and mechanical assets.

- To carry out the role of NICEIC Quality Supervisor assuring the delivery of electrical work and compliance across all contracts and providing coaching and feedback to field based electrical technicians
- Provide second line support for faults and queries from field teams and contractors and support the Operations Support Engineer in dealing with reactive engineering issues.
- To provide support in delivering capital projects
The key duties of the role are:
- Ensuring that the results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly on the appropriate certificates or reports.
- Ensuring that the business' premises, equipment, documentation and records are available for inspection when required by NICEIC.
- Carry out audits and assurance checks to ensure electrical compliance of work carried out and provide coaching and feedback where required.
- To provide second line support to fault-find, install, repair, inspect, replace and maintain aspects of fixed plant and equipment as requested to ensure it functions in a safe and effective manner
- Maintain level of professional expertise to ensure ability is held to repair/maintain a wide range of makes, types and complexities of plant/equipment.
- Operate and maintain the highest Health and Safety standards in accordance with all Company policy and procedures
- Exercise judgments on equipment spend to ensure the appropriate and safe repair is balanced with the requirement to maximize cost effectiveness. Provide feedback on judgment of asset condition to assist with most cost-effective operation of the asset.
- Provide high level of customer service to maintain customer expectations of quality service provision.
- Fulfill the duties of an Appointed person and Senior Approved Person (Electrical) when required
- Carry out work in DSEAR zoned areas to COMPEX standards
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:
- Experience in carrying out the role of NICEIC Qualified Supervisor
- Experience of electrical testing and inspection
- Be able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge and experience of IEE regulations.
- Be able to fulfil the role of Senior Authorized Person (AP) electrical as defined in the STS UK Electrical Code of Practice or willing to works towards this
- Experience and Knowledge working on various electrical systems including 230V and 415v Systems
- COMPEX experience (Desirable)
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:
- Good problem solving and practical thinking skills are required to ensure the safe and effective operation and maintenance of all assets and to prevent avoidable asset failure where possible.
- You will need to demonstrate a "can do" attitude and be comfortable working both within a team and working alone.
- Excellent process diagnostic and communication skills are essential.
- Must be physically fit with ability to work in confined spaces, underground or at heights.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization, and with external customers. This is especially important when working out of hours.
- Must be able to explain complex or technical problems to colleagues in a manner that enables others to understand and be able to react to, effectively.
- 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection Qualification or equivalent
- COPEX Qualified (Desirable)
- IOSH (Desirable)
- Full Clean Driving Licence
- Must be willing to Obtain MOD Security Clearance due to the nature of the role
- Please note this role covers UK wide contracts and frequent travel across the UK will be required
