DESIGN SERVICES ADVISOR

Location: Shefford, Bedfordshire

Salary: £22-25k

The Role

As a Design Services Advisor you will contribute to the Company's competitive edge by providing design service to customers for new and existing products in accordance with Company standards and procedures. To contribute to commercial success through value engineering and offering excellent solutions to customer's needs.

The Candidate

You will need:

• Ability to read and produce technical drawings (AutoCAD or PDF Exchange).
• Good numeracy skills and ability to learn hydraulic design methods.
• Experience working in the construction industry and/or civil engineering with knowledge of installation of drainage in construction industry.
• To have an understanding of the construction industry - tender processes - buying decisions and product installation.

Responsibilities include:

• Design of drainage schemes.
• Prioritise tasks based on commercial factors.
• Implement "value engineering" as a concept in the way of working.
• Implement automation where possible to increase efficiency.
• Liaise with Sales Force and Sales Office on essential product knowledge and preliminary designs.
• Progress reports.
• Preparing design proposals on complex projects or when introducing new products.
• Work in cross functional teams on product and process innovation.
