Senior Electrical Installer
Location: Leeds and Manchester
Salary: £22 - £23.5k per annum
Start date: ASAP

The Role
We are currently looking for Senior Installers to join Urban team with a focus on traffic lights and lighting. Roles are available in Leeds and Manchester.
Key responsibilities:
The role entails routine activities to be carried out, in the main installations will be to a set standard and programme with very little deviation expected. Most projects are planned with customers and timescales agreed.
All tasks and time within the role are managed on a daily basis by the senor installer. Supervision and management is given by the immediate manager. A small amount of problem solving is required, including issues escalated from the installation team and the customer. The post-holder will determine when to escalate potential site issues and inform Management or Service Supervisor as appropriate. The Senior Installer whilst on site is expected to lead about 5 staff. They will be ultimately responsible for site safety and the quality of the completed installation.
The post-holder will be required to make on site decisions with regards to Health and Safety. They will be responsible for their own PPE, on site safety and that of the public.
The tasks for the majority of the time will be performed in an outside environment but will include some office environment working. Within the role there are disturbing factors of weather, noise and the public.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you should be ex-military and have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
As a minimum the successful candidate would need substantial experience in the role. A detailed understanding of electrical installation and theory is essential along with site drawings. The role will require the employee to stay up to date with the latest developments in the field and the employee is expected to maintain specialised training in the field.
