Role: Security Supervisor/Operatives
Location: Nationwide
Salary: £10 - £15 Hour (Depending on role)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Security Team Leader , The Security Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of 6 security personnel in carrying out protestor removals on construction sites (subject to the limitations of the law and in consultation with law enforcement agencies and the on-site contractors). He/she will be responsible for ensuring the Health and Safety and supervising the welfare (including but not limited to: provision of first aid, PPE and appropriate rationing) of the security personnel under their charge and that those personnel act at all times within the law and in a manner commensurate with the preservation of the reputation of the company.

The Security Supervisor reports to the Security Team Leader
NATURE OF WORK AND TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED:
This position will carry with it considerable freedom of action but equally considerable pressures to direct and supervise the work of a small team in a fast moving and potentially hostile environment under media scrutiny.
Candidates will require those core values most likely to be found in ex-service personnel at or around Junior or Senior Non-Commissioned Officer rank:
Self-Discipline, Integrity, Loyalty, Total Reliability and Discretion and the ability to train and lead others in a challenging environment subject to significant legal and procedural constraints. Flexibility, adaptability and a can-do attitude will be essential.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires the individual and his team to be at 8 hours notice to respond to an incident anywhere within a large geographical footprint.
Working conditions will be those to be expected in exposed construction sites in all weathers and the commitment may well endure in which case a 12 hour shift pattern is anticipated.
Protestors will use all means available to them to disrupt the work of the team - Self-Restraint and a clear understanding of the legal position which the team is working in at all times will be essential.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential requirements: CP licence
3 years Minimum Security experience in conflict situations (Desirable dealing with protestors)
