The Role
Our client is currently seeking an enthusiastic Post Graduate Public Health Design Engineer to be based in their London office.
The key area of this role is to support project delivery in providing design engineering services to a varied client base. Projects will be varied from complex high value large commercial, fit-out and refurbishments to minor schemes.
You will prepare calculations, specifications and drawings, ensuring they comply with the clients brief, are delivered on time and carried out efficiently so as to maximise profitability. Initially you will work with experienced senior members of the team who will assist you with technical support to achieve your career goals. The role will provide training and give the right candidate opportunities to build and develop existing engineering and design skills together with exposure and use of contemporary design software and 3D modelling packages.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have 1-2 years' recent UK experience in Public Health Design engineering, ideally gained across large commercial (new build, refurbishments and fit out), residential and mixed use developments and possess a basic knowledge and understanding of Building Services Engineering Systems including their performance, application and operation.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, with relevant qualification(s) in Building Services Engineering Design. Although not essential, a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership via CIBSE, IMechE or another relevant professional institute and preferably be a member of SoPHE.
