The Role
- Achieving best price and value for all goods and services.
- Tendering and negotiating contracts for the supply and receipt of services.
- Supplier performance and relationship management.
- Ensuring supplier SLA's are met.
- Building strong working relationships with key suppliers and customers.
- Ensuring supplier provision meets business objectives.
- Managing online systems and upgrades.
- Processing payments, invoices and purchase orders.
- Developing a purchasing strategy.
- Evaluating tenders.
Key Responsibilities
The role of Property Services Account Manager is vital as you are:
- Obtaining goods and services for the best price and value.
- Tendering and negotiating contracts for the supply and receipt of services.
- Setting up contract documentation for internal use in managing contracts, e.g. cost matrices for invoicing purposes.
- Working with suppliers to ensure that key SLA's are met and performance managing if not.
- Building strong working relationships both internally and with key suppliers and customers.
- Ensuring suppliers are aware of business objectives.
- Understanding and keeping up with new trends and regulations in the business.
- Understanding technology and managing online systems.
- Processing payments, invoices and purchase orders.
- Keeping contract files and using them as reference for the future.
- Developing the company's purchasing strategy.
- Producing reports and statistics using computer software.
- Evaluating tenders, making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors.
- Training and supervising the work of other members of staff.
- Responsibility for ensuring the timely collation and reporting of management information including KPI's and quality audits, as well as the development of management systems.
- Benchmarking supplier and sub-contractor costs.
- Ensuring health and safety, environmental and quality procedures are adhered to and all concerns / risks are reported to the client's Health & Safety Management team and the company's Risk Management Focal Point.
- Maintaining a friendly and helpful attitude to clients, suppliers and staff and ensuring the company is always presented in a positive manner.
- Use of computer system in accordance with the company's procedures, including email.
- Occasional tasks from the office at the discretion of the management and any additional ad-hoc duties as required.
- Understanding and implementing the company's organisation, services, standard procedures and policies.
- Taking part in training and meetings as required.
- Informing the HR Manager of any personal or health issues that are causing concern and Payroll Department any change of personal information such as home address, telephone number etc.
The Candidate
To be considered for the Property Services Account Manager role you should be ex-military and have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Relevant Health and Safety knowledge and experience.
- Experience in completing various H&S paperwork
- Updated knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001: 2008, OHSAS 18001: 2007 and ISO 14001: 2004 quality standards
- Demonstrate values in regard to customer service, courtesy to all clients, suppliers, work colleagues and other agency professionals
- Confident and able to work unsupervised.
- Build confidence and competence through the application of instruction and training.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Good communication.
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- A team player who is self-motivated and driven.
- Flexible approach to work.

- Starter / finisher.
- Full and Clean UK Driving licence.
