NEW WORKS LEAD (Ex-Military preferred)
Location: St. Albans, Hertfordshire
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000
Start date: ASAP

The Role
We have an opportunity for a Lead Engineer to join the NRTS National New Works team in the south.
The main purpose of this role will be to provide first class leadership of our New Works team, whist ensuring that your team works in accordance with our agreed processes and controls. The role will include regular contact with external customers, and as such you will need to maintain and develop strong and trusting relationships with representatives from both Highway Agency and the NRTS Principal Contractor.
You will also be responsible for focusing on delivering the highest levels of customer service, whilst ensuring that all of our work is delivered to time, quality and cost, whilst not impacting the other work streams within the project. A 'can do' attitude is key as well as collaborating with the other service leads to resolve operational Issues and contribute to a sustainable business.
The Candidate
The successful applicant will have experience of assessing and planning telecommunications infrastructure work packages with values from a few thousand for provisioning to hundreds of thousands for renewals.
You will have experience of creating and managing budgets and being accountable for the delivery of regional project P&L.
You will possess strong communication and influencing skills, and have the ability to effectively influence 2nd line management. The ability to frequently switch between tasks/projects, and handle disruptions such as telephone calls various times a day, whilst demonstrating and promoting a customer centric service delivery focus is also a key skill.
