Job Title: Class 2 Night Trunk Driver (Ex- Military candidates preferred)

THE COMPANY

Our client is one of the leading distributors of Fixings, Fasteners and Building Consumables in the UK. Our customers include a range of the most renowned names in the Construction and Civil Engineering industries; among them are main contractors and specialist sub-contractors.

JOB PURPOSE

Delivering goods to construction industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transporting a wide variety of items loaded on roller cages to depots in Park Royal & Camberley

• Following the designated routes which relate to the trunk you are operating and communicating your location and estimated arrival time

• Carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and report any defects ensuring that the axle and gross weights are compliant for maximum safety and protection on the road

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Excellent customer service and communication skills required, as you will be dealing with B2B customers/ contractors.

• Hold a full Class 2 driving licence

• A driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph

• Previous experience as a Trunk Driver

• Multi-drop experience also desirable but not essential.
