COMMERCIAL MANAGER - HIGHWAYS AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
I am recruiting for a Commercial Manager role, within the Highways and Traffic Management sector.
Located in the Midlands or North West.
This position is a national role so includes travel to our depots across the UK so a vehicle/Car allowance will be supplied.
We need a candidate who has Highways Experience and Senior NEC experience that can lead a team.
Technical Requirement for the Commercial Manager function:-
Prior experience in the Highways sector as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Extensive knowledge of various forms of contract with a deep and specific knowledge of NEC ¾.
Support the Senior Management Team and Contract Management Teams in the overall management of all commercial aspects of all contracts,
Prepare reports to facilitate monthly management accounts.
Support Contract Teams in applying Early Warning and Compensation Events.
Ensure the timely and accurate billing of all work carried out within the region, ensuring that client specified application/invoice dates are met.
Manage client disputes create a strong client relationships to build trust to deliver positive outcomes and repeat business.
Onboarding and continuously monitoring supply chain partners.
Analyse and identify improvements in plant and labour utilisation.
Review monthly management accounts and key performance information and see where areas of improvement and efficiencies can be made.
Monitor and maintain the data within the Integrated Management System.
Lead on all aspects of Commercial activity for work winning activity.
Personal Requirements for Commercial Manager function:-
Confident, articulate and be able to deliver presentations to Clients, Internal Teams and Senior Leadership Teams
Experience of managing Commercial Teams.
Ability to coach and mentor Commercial and Operational people to develop skills.
Strong negotiating skills.
Prior experience in onboarding and continuously monitoring supply chain partners.
