MENTORING PROGRAMME
Leaving the Forces can be both an exciting and a daunting experience. The ForceSelect mentoring programme is designed to support you in your transition to civilian life and, most importantly, help you to enjoy a successful new career.
Finding a new job is often the first part of the transition process, but there are so many other aspects of your life that will change when you leave the Forces, it’s difficult to predict which ones will present you with challenges. The ForceSelect website and our team of mentors are here to help you with ongoing support, guidance and advice.
How the mentoring programme works
As a service leaver that we place in a new role, you will be offered a personal mentor who will be on hand to ensure you make the very best start in your new employment. This might involve:

ForceSelect Mentors have walked in your shoes
All our volunteer mentors are civilians with Forces backgrounds. They are recruited for the expertise they are able to offer around successful transitioning and their empathy with your unique situation.
Your mentor is there to back up the ForceSelect promise to our clients that ex-service personnel are high performers. Their aim is to help you apply your skills and experience to add value to your new employer and achieve real job satisfaction.
