What our Candidates say about us

I would like to say thank you very much to you and the team, for finding me this job. I know all of you put a lot off time in to finding jobs for ex-military people. I will be passing this on to other military leavers and hopefully they can get in touch and you can do the same for them, again thanks.

- Bryan Lane, Corporal, The Royal Gibraltar Regiment

As a 48 year old Ex-serviceman I have never been out of work, but am always looking to see what jobs are on the market. I was becoming disillusioned with my present employer and thought I should actively seek new employment. ForceSelect was recommended to me via Facebook. I spoke direct to a recruiter by phone on a Friday afternoon and after a quick conversation we decided how I could be helped.

I submitted my updated CV on the following Monday and within half an hour of sending if i had a follow up call to tell me what employers were interested. 1 hour later I was offered a job interview for a major employer in my trade discipline. Within 7 days I had 7 job opportunities that were followed up with employer interviews.

This is the first time I have had a recruitment agency invest time in me to get me the job I wanted.  All job criteria was sent to me via email within the hour of being informed of job offers and interviews that I wanted.

At my first interview I was offered the job on the spot and Forceselect rang me to see how i had done and could ForceSelect do any more. When I agreed to accept the job offer ForceSelect managed all the contract arrangements and I started my new job within a month of asking ForceSelect to find me a job.  The transition from my old employer to my new employment was seamless and I was not inconvenienced salary disruption or other difficulties. Things could not have been easier.

Thank you, ForceSelect.

I passed out of Royal Marines Commando training as a general rate in June 2011. I was drafted to 43 Commando during the early stages of my career, before specialising as a small boats operator in the Landing Craft Branch.  I served on numerous operations in both the UK and abroad and participated on countless exercises all over the world. After serving just 4 years, I decided to leave the Marines to pursue a career as a Teacher.

Gaining a degree in Marine Biology and Zoology prior to joining the Marines meant I could apply straight to teacher training. However, it soon became clear that there were many entry routes into the profession and I was struggling to choose the right one.

It was at this point I registered my CV and interest with ForceSelect.  Their team were extremely quick to pick up the phone and listen to my ideas and before I knew it, a plan had been set in motion to find the right route into teaching for me.

After liaising with Hugh Andree, CEO of ForceSelect, he was able to put me in touch with the right people through his list of contacts and experience in the recruitment industry. Within weeks I had promising interviews and meetings lined up and was formally offered a position in a school, a mere two months after initially contacting ForceSelect.

Hugh and his team maintained communications throughout and were extremely professional in the way they handled everything.  They gave me advice and interview guidance during the process and they were always at the other end of the phone if I needed to ask questions. I would go as far as to say that any service person planning to leave the Armed Forces must get in contact with ForceSelect as a first port of call. They have given me a solid foundation in civilian life and I will always be grateful for their efforts and work on my behalf.

When I left the Army, McDonald’s appealed to me as it was voted within the top ten companies to work for and has great opportunities. With the help of ForceSelect I was lucky enough to be selected as a Trainee Manager and I haven’t looked back. The opportunities to better yourself and your career are endless including a Business Degree. I’ve already learnt so much from other members of staff with years of “on the job” experience and knowledge. The McDonald’s family is a great place to be and I look forward to a long and successful career with them.

Force Select is an amazing company, not only did they find me a perfect position, but the staff were Courteous, Helpful and Very Knowledgeable. Would recommend anyone leaving the Forces to enquire with them before going to any other recruiting Service.
